Police say Luis Perez fatally shot 51-year-old Gardy Joseph in the 13-hundred block of Derry Street on April 8th. They allege Perez tried to take the man's cellphone, and was going through his bag before he hit Joseph in the face with the gun. Police say Joseph was backing away into a vestibule when he was shot. Perez told investigators the gun "just went off." A third person is accusing a former Harrisburg-area reverend of sexual abuse. Police say the alleged victim claims Michael McMullen began sexually abusing her when she was between 9 and 10 years old. The 68-year-old McMullen was charged with sex crimes in February following allegations he abused two girls in Susquehanna Township. The latest allegations say the abuse happened at his home and at Bethel AME Church. McMullen is awaiting arraignment on the new charges. A student robotics team from Manheim Township has won the Pennsylvania state championship and is now ranked 51st in the world. The team, made up of mostly 8th-grade girls and one senior boy, started after students saw a gap for a community robotics team in Lancaster. Team members say they also hope to encourage more girls to get involved in STEM.
