Good morning, A major industrial accident in New Castle narrowly avoided disaster Friday night. Fire crews rushed to the Ellwood Quality Steels plant after a molten steel transport system failed. A hole punctured in a massive pot, spilling molten steel onto the factory floor and gutting the control room. No injuries were reported, and officials praised the plant's internal safety team for quick containment.Meanwhile, downtown New Castle is getting a new community hub. City Council approved a five-hundred-and-seventy-five-thousand-dollar bid for phase one of the downtown City Park project.
